Gerald “Gary” Hare was born December 31, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio to his parents, Pat and Jean Hare. He passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Gary married the love of his life, Terrie in 1982. Together they worked hard and over 40 years traveled the world. Gary was a good husband, a good Dad to Zues and Zoey (their beloved dogs), a wonderful friend and neighbor, and a faithful servant of the Lord.

After working many years in Ohio, their love of the mountains and the lake brought them to Tennessee. Gary retired two years ago from CVG as a quality engineer. He loved boating, driving his Porsche, a beautiful yard, a good joke, and a cold beer. Gary was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed the University of Cincinnati and University of Tennessee. After Gary retired, he became very involved with CASA and became an advocate for abused and neglected children of Monroe County. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and also Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Jean Hare; sister-in-law, Cathy Hare.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Terrie Hare; brothers and sister-in-law, Ken and Tina Hare, Den Hare; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Joe Schafer; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Dates and times will be provided at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gary Hare Memorial at CASA Monroe
